A new book takes readers to the front lines of the protests in Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland that took place following the deaths of Michael Brown and Freddie Gray.<\/p>\n
Jennifer Cobbina, associate professor in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University, visited the two cities right after the violent 2014 and 2015 protests, and interviewed over 200 residents and protesters to learn about their experiences with and perceptions of police officers.<\/p>\n
